Frank Vladimir Brzek, age 66 passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2015 in Vancouver B.C.
He was born September 27, 1948 in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic to Frantisek and Zdenka (Novotna) Brzek.
He immigrated to Canada as a young man and attended the University of Waterloo to pursue a Technical Degree. In 1978 his journey went a different direction and later became a qualified cabinetmaker and business owner in the Joinery and Millwork trade.
As a connoisseur of the arts, music, poetry, fine food and wine, his gift of sharing his enjoyment of good things in life remains with us. Capable of spending long periods immersed in intellectual work and design, he lived a meaningful intense life. He was honest and steadfast in his ideas and views, yet sensitive, compassionate, witty, and a romantic with a genuine love and empathy for people close to him. He remained thoughtful, generous, and loyal to family, friends, and his “boys” in the shop. Frank places an eternal sparkle in our hearts, as we recall so many good times we all shared together.
Left to honor Frank and remember his love are: sister Helena Pisova 62, nephew Lucas Pisa 39, niece-in-law Monika (Hoskova) 29, grand-nephew Matyas 2, great-niece Aneta 6 months old, all living in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic.
Celebration of Life for Frank Brzek will be held on March 22, 2015 ~ 2 pm – 5 pm, at Tugboat Landing 2010 E. Kent Ave. S. Vancouver, B.C. 2 story cottage, south foot of Victoria Drive, riverside.
